The home game against Telford proved to be just as fiery as the away game. After a cautious start Lasers started to play with the intensity they have demonstrated in other games this season. The intensity was rewarded with Lake opening the scoring at 2.35. Lasers then began to control the game but were unable to score for another five minutes. Phillips then slotted home a second for Lasers and, while Telfords goalie was kept busy, a way was found past with an excellently worked wrap around goal by Rozentals.
Telford pressured with Williams skating through but his attempt to go past the goalie denied by a well focussed Wilson. A fourth goal for Douglas was followed by another for Rozentals after a brilliant piece of team work on the delayed penalty.
The start of the second saw Sheffield take control of the game and apply pressure on Telford. The pressure resulted in another goal from Rozentals before a beauty of a seventh with Sheldon-Wright finding a gap between the goalies blocker and the post. This was followed a minute later by a fourth goal from Rozentals.
Further pressure and some lovely team work resulted in Phillips picking the puck up on the blue line and rifling a goal from distance. Phillips was then involved in the tenth goal passing the puck down the boards to Sheldon-Wright who accurately fired it across the face of net for Hepworth to slot it home. A lapse in concentration and a burst of speed from Williams saw Telford score a breakaway goal right at the end of the second.
Early in the third Sheffield once again applied pressure with the Telford goalie preventing a quick 11th goal with an excellent save seen through a very busy zone. Telford then capitalised on this with Williams once again breaking away to score their second. Williams attempted once again but a refocused goalie denied him close in. A lapse in concentration then led to Telford scoring two short handed goals in quick succession. Lasers then switched back on scoring a final three goals by Lake, Brown and Lake again for the hatrick to close the game.
